SOURCES SAY WAYNE IS KAI REAL FATHER 😱💔 TRUTH UNFOLDS BEHIND THE SCENES
INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
The room is dimly lit. Rain taps lightly against the windows. KAI sits on the couch, scrolling through their phone. Suddenly, the front door creaks open. JORDAN enters, drenched, face pale with disbelief.
KAI
(startled)
Jordan? What are you doing here? It’s late.
JORDAN
(quietly, almost in a whisper)
I needed to see you. I couldn’t sit with this alone anymore.
KAI
(sits up, sensing something's wrong)
What happened? Is it mom? Is she okay?
JORDAN
It’s not mom. It’s… it’s you. It’s about you.
KAI
(confused)
What are you talking about?
Jordan walks closer, water dripping from their coat, eyes searching Kai’s.
JORDAN
I heard something today… from someone who shouldn’t have said anything. But once I heard it, it made too much sense to ignore.
KAI
(sits forward, voice rising slightly)
Jordan, you’re scaring me. What did you hear?
Jordan hesitates. A beat passes. Then:
JORDAN
Wayne... might be your real father.
The room goes silent. A clock ticks in the background. Thunder rumbles faintly.
KAI
(voice hollow)
What?
JORDAN
I didn’t believe it either at first. But then I started putting pieces together. The way mom always avoided talking about that summer… the tension between her and Wayne… how Wayne always looked at you like—
KAI
(interrupting)
No. No, that’s—That’s impossible. Dad is my father. Mark is my dad!
JORDAN
(softly)
Is he?
Kai stands up, pacing, heart racing.
KAI
Who told you this? Where are you getting this from?
JORDAN
Aunt Denise. She was drunk. Said too much. Then clammed up the second she realized what she said. But the damage was done. She said Mom and Wayne had a thing—just before you were born. No one was supposed to know.
KAI
(disbelieving)
That doesn’t mean anything. People say things when they’re drunk. You really believe some gossip over—
JORDAN
It’s not just that. I found something in the attic.
KAI
(turns sharply)
What?
JORDAN
An old letter. From Wayne. To Mom. Dated eight months before you were born. He wrote, “If the baby’s mine, I’ll be there. I don’t care what anyone says.”
Kai’s breath catches. The room feels smaller now.
KAI
(reading the floor)
No... no, that can’t be true. Mom would’ve told me. She had to.
JORDAN
Would she? Think about how she always dodged questions about that year. How Wayne never stays too long at family events, but always finds a way to check in on you.
KAI
(furious)
Why are you even telling me this? What do you want me to do? Walk up to Wayne and ask, “Hey, did you sleep with my mom?!”
JORDAN
I’m not telling you what to do. But the truth is unraveling, whether we like it or not. You deserve answers. Real ones.
KAI
(voice breaking)
What if I find out it’s true? What if everything I thought I knew… wasn’t real?
JORDAN
Then at least you’ll know the truth. And you won’t have to keep living someone else’s lie.
Silence. The tension thickens. Kai’s world is spinning. The rain gets heavier. A storm is coming—inside and out.
KAI
(whispering)
I have to talk to her. I need to hear it from her mouth.
JORDAN
(sincerely)
Whatever you find out… I’m here. You're not alone in this.
Kai nods slowly. Outside, lightning flashes. The truth is out there—and it’s waiting.
