Anthony Lawyer findout the Kai DNA which Anthony had kept it hidden until now.π±
Scene: In Anthony's private office, late at night. Thunder rumbles outside.
Kai (bursts in, furious):
“You said there was nothing in the report! You looked me in the eyes and lied!”
Anthony (calmly, leaning back in his chair):
“I told you what you needed to hear, Kai. At the time, the truth would've broken you.”
Kai (slams his hand on the desk):
“Don’t give me that! I had a right to know. That test was mine. My blood. You had no right to keep it from me.”
Anthony (sighs, pulls open a drawer and takes out a sealed folder):
“You're right. You did. But once I saw what was in this file... I knew it wasn’t just about you anymore.”
Kai (narrowing his eyes):
“What the hell are you talking about?”
Anthony (slides the folder toward him):
“Take it. Read it. But I’m warning you… nothing will be the same after this.”
Kai (grabs the folder, opens it, and scans the documents):
“…This can’t be real. My DNA matches… with classified government files? Enhanced genomes? Hybrid sequences? What the hell is this?!”
Anthony:
“You were part of something bigger, Kai. You’re not fully… normal. Your mother—she wasn’t just a geneticist. She was involved in an off-the-books program. You were their ‘prototype.’”
Kai (staggering back):
“No. No, my mom died in a car accident when I was two. That’s what the records say.”
Anthony:
“That’s what they want you to believe. She was eliminated when she tried to pull you out of the project. You’re not just a subject, Kai. You’re the last remaining piece of her work.”
Kai (quietly):
“And you knew this the whole time?”
Anthony (nods):
“Since the day I took your case. I found the DNA anomalies, traced the serial patterns, cross-checked the encrypted files they tried to erase. I kept it quiet to protect you.”
Kai:
“Protect me? From what? The truth? From my own identity?”
Anthony (leans forward):
“No, Kai. From the people who still want you silenced. You have no idea how many eyes were on you when I cracked that file. I’ve been playing chess with ghosts ever since.”
Kai:
“So what now? You drop this on me and expect me to do what—run? Hide?”
Anthony:
“No. I expect you to decide who you really are. Because after tonight, there are only two options: bury this, or fight back. But once you choose, there’s no going back.”
Kai (staring at the folder, his hands trembling slightly):
“What happens if I fight?”
Anthony (coldly):
“Then you’ll finally find out why they made you. And why they’re still afraid of what you might become.”
Kai (after a long pause):
“…Then I fight.”
Anthony (smiling faintly):
“Good. Then we start by burning every file they think they still own. And I know exactly where to begin.”
Kai (still staring at the DNA report):
“…Then I fight.”
Anthony (smiling faintly):
“Good. Then we start by burning every file they think they still own. And I know exactly where to begin.”
Kai (narrowing his eyes):
“Where?”
Anthony (leans back, voice low):
“The program's still active. Hidden under a new name. Project Nocturne.”
Kai (tensing):
“…Nocturne? I’ve heard that name before.”
Anthony (nods):
“You should have. They’ve been monitoring you since you were a child. Every school, every hospital, every 'random' encounter? It wasn’t random. They were conditioning you.”
Kai:
“Conditioning me for what?”
Anthony (leans in):
“To activate. You weren’t just built for survival, Kai. You were built for a purpose.”
Suddenly, the office lights flicker.
Kai (alert):
“…What was that?”
Anthony (slowly standing):
“They’re here.”
Kai (grabs Anthony’s arm):
“What do you mean they’re here? You said we had time!”
Anthony (grimly):
“We did. Until you opened the folder. The DNA file wasn’t just information. It was a trigger.”
Kai:
“…A trigger for what?”
Anthony turns to the wall and presses a hidden switch. A panel slides open, revealing a metal case with a strange glowing symbol.
Anthony:
“For them to find you. And for you… to remember.”
Kai (stepping back):
“…What are you talking about? What do you mean remember?”
Anthony (opening the case, revealing a device with a needle-like probe):
“You think they erased your past. But the truth was never deleted. It was buried. Inside you.”
Kai (backing away):
“No. No, I never agreed to this—”
Anthony (softly, almost apologetic):
“You don’t get to choose anymore, Kai. They’re already coming. And the only way you survive… is by becoming what they created.”
He presses the device into Kai’s neck. A hiss of gas. Kai stumbles, eyes wide, breathing erratic.
Kai:
“What… what did you do…”
Anthony (whispers):
“I’m sorry. But I need you to remember who you really are. Because you weren’t the only one they built.”
Kai (barely conscious):
“…What…?”
Everything fades to black.
One Week Later — Unknown Location
A cold, sterile facility. Monitors beep. A figure stands over a screen showing Kai’s brain activity.
Unknown Voice (female):
“He’s stabilizing.”
Second Voice (male, familiar):
“Good. Then phase two begins.”
*Camera pans to the man: it’s Anthony… but different. Dressed in a black uniform, bearing the insignia of Project Nocturne.
Anthony (smiling):
“Welcome back, Subject Zero.”
