Amber's lawyer is preparing to freeze Anthony accounts😱

Amber:
(looking tense)
So you're telling me we can actually do this? Freeze his accounts?

Lawyer (Ms. Jennings):
(serious, flipping through documents)
Yes. Based on the evidence you provided—the forged signatures, the hidden assets, and the unauthorized transfers—we have enough grounds to petition for a temporary freeze.

Amber:
(leaning in)
How fast can we move? He’s sneaky. If he even smells this coming, he’ll start shifting money around offshore. Again.

Ms. Jennings:
That’s why we’re filing ex parte—without notice to him. If the judge agrees there's an imminent risk of asset dissipation, we could have a court order by tomorrow morning.

Amber:
Tomorrow? That soon?

Ms. Jennings:
This isn’t my first rodeo, Amber. We have a narrow window. His recent activity suggests he's preparing to move large sums—possibly to crypto wallets. Once that’s done, it’s almost impossible to track.

Amber:
(disbelief)
God. I can't believe it’s come to this. I trusted him with everything. Our accounts. My inheritance. Even the house was in both our names…

Ms. Jennings:
(sincerely)
And he’s betrayed that trust. What he’s done isn’t just unethical—it may be criminal. We’re also preparing a motion for discovery to subpoena records from the banks he’s used in the last six months.

Amber:
You think the court will grant it?

Ms. Jennings:
If we present a clear case of fraudulent transfers and show the urgency? Absolutely. We’ll need to be airtight. Which is why I need you to send me the full transaction log from your joint account—especially from the week of April 14th.

Amber:
I have screenshots and emails. Some of them even show him admitting he “reallocated” funds without my knowledge.

Ms. Jennings:
Perfect. That will support the argument for financial misconduct. Once the freeze is in place, he won’t be able to access any liquid assets. Not his bank accounts, not the joint investments, not even the rental income.

Amber:
(sighs, then steels herself)
What happens after we freeze them?

Ms. Jennings:
We schedule a hearing. If the judge agrees to extend the freeze, it becomes a preliminary injunction until the case is resolved. In the meantime, we begin forensic accounting. We find out where every single dollar went.

Amber:
And if he’s already moved some of it?

Ms. Jennings:
Then we track it. And we build a case for restitution. Possibly even criminal charges. You’re not just getting justice—you’re setting a boundary. He doesn’t get to drain your life and walk away smiling.

Amber:
(emotionally)
Thank you. Seriously. I didn’t know where to start, but you’ve given me something I haven’t felt in weeks—control.

Ms. Jennings:
(softly but firmly)
Let me do the heavy lifting. You focus on staying calm. The storm’s already hit—but you’re the one holding the umbrella now.
