(Brittany walks in hesitantly, followed a moment later by Kelvin.)

Brittany:
Amber… hey. I got your text. You said it was important?

Amber:
Yeah. Important enough for you both to be here. Sit down. I’m not going to repeat myself.

Kelvin:
(nervous) Amber, whatever this is about, we can talk it through—

Amber:
(interrupting) Don’t. Just sit. Both of you.

(They sit. An awkward silence hangs heavy in the air.)

Amber:
So, I found out. Everything.

Brittany:
(swallows hard) Amber, what… what exactly do you mean?

Amber:
Don’t play dumb with me, Brittany. The late-night texts. The weird disappearances. The lies.
(turns to Kelvin) You told me you were working overtime, remember that?

Kelvin:
Amber… I didn't mean for it to happen like this.

Amber:
(bitterly) Oh? How did you mean for it to happen? Sneaking behind my back with my best friend?

Brittany:
Amber, I swear, it wasn’t like that at first. It was a mistake—one time that spiraled. I didn’t mean to hurt you.

Amber:
(standing) One time? Is that what you’re calling five months of betrayal? One accidental kiss? Is that what you told yourself to sleep at night?

Kelvin:
We didn’t plan it, Amber. It just… happened. We were both feeling lost, and—

Amber:
(scoffs) And I wasn’t enough, right? My best friend was just more convenient.

Brittany:

Amber:

Kelvin:

(Silence. Brittany’s eyes fill with tears. Kelvin lowers his head.)

I know we don’t deserve forgiveness. But please… I never stopped loving you as my friend. I just got lost. We both did.

Kelvin:
If I could take it back, I would. I never meant to hurt you. I was weak, and I let something wrong go too far.

Amber:
(quietly, tearing up) You already did the damage. You don’t get to fix it now.
I’m not yelling because I’m angry anymore. I’m just… exhausted.

(She stands and walks to the door.)

Amber:
Get out. Both of you. I need space… to remember who I was before this mess.

Brittany:
Amber…

Amber:
(firmly) Goodbye, Brittany. Goodbye, Kelvin.

(They leave in silence. Amber closes the door, leans against it, and finally breaks down in tears.)
