“I know you’re pregnant, Amber… but I want to know who the REAL baby daddy is 😱”
Amber:
Wait… what??
What are you talking about, Antony?? Why would you even say that?
Antony:
Don’t act like you don’t know.
Those pictures I just sent? They didn’t come from nowhere.
You said you were working late. But there you were, all cuddled up with him.
Amber:
Those pictures are NOT what you think. That was Marcus, my cousin. We were at my aunt’s birthday dinner. My whole family was there.
Antony:
Oh, come on. He had his hand on your belly like he was the one who put the baby there. That’s not how cousins touch each other.
Amber:
Antony, are you even listening to yourself? You’ve known Marcus for years. You’ve literally met him! That’s how close we are. He was just excited because it’s his first time being an uncle. Why are you spiraling like this?
Antony:
Because nothing’s adding up, Amber. You told me you were only two months along… but when I did the math, that doesn’t line up with when we were last together.
So unless I’m missing something, someone else got you pregnant.
Amber:
Oh my God…
So now we’re doing pregnancy math? Do you even know how cycles and ovulation work? You were the last person I was with. I told you that. I haven’t been with anyone else.
Antony:
Then why didn’t you tell me sooner? Why was I the last to know? I had to find out through your Instagram story like everyone else.
Amber:
Because I wasn’t sure how you’d react! And clearly, I was right to be afraid. You go digging for drama instead of just asking me.
You know how complicated things were between us. I needed time to process it myself before involving you.
Antony:
No, what’s complicated is finding out that the woman I’ve been on and off with for years is pregnant, and not even sure if it’s mine.
I have the right to know. I have the right to clarity.
Amber:
And I’m giving you that now. I told you it’s yours. If you don’t believe me, we can do a paternity test. I have nothing to hide.
But if you keep accusing me without reason, then maybe you’re not ready to be in this child’s life — whether it's yours or not.
Antony:
That’s not fair. I want to be there — but I want to be sure. I don’t want to raise a kid based on a guess.
I just… I didn’t expect it. And when I saw those pictures, I panicked. It looked bad.
Amber:
It did. But what’s worse is you assumed the worst. If we’re going to do this — co-parent, be civil, whatever — you have to trust me at some level.
And stop jumping to conclusions based on photos taken out of context.
Antony:
You’re right.
I’m sorry for coming at you like that.
I just… this whole situation freaked me out. I don’t know how to be a dad. I barely know how to be a good boyfriend, if we’re being honest.
Amber:
No one’s asking you to be perfect. I just need you to be honest, calm, and supportive. We’ll figure the rest out together — if that’s what you want.
Antony:
I do want that.
So… can we start over? Maybe go to that doctor’s appointment next week together? Get the test done. And talk… like adults this time?
Amber:
Yeah. We can do that.
One step at a time.
