Amber shocked when Amber recived the notice from Court😱

Amber: (staring at the letter, whispering) Oh my god… no… this can’t be real.

Sophie: (walking into the hallway with coffee) Hey, you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.

Amber: (voice shaky) I—I just got a notice from the court… Sophie, I’m being sued.

Sophie: (almost drops her mug) Wait, WHAT?! Sued?! By who? For what?!

Amber: (hands her the notice) Read it. I don’t even understand half of this legal jargon. It’s about… damages? Emotional distress?

Sophie: (reading aloud) "Case Number 04C-7394... Plaintiff: Ethan Cole..." ETHAN?! As in your ex Ethan? What the actual—

Amber: (collapsing on the couch) I haven’t talked to him in months! He ghosted me after that huge fight. Now he’s suing me? What did I even do?

Sophie: (furious) This is insane. Wait, this says you’re being accused of defamation and breach of privacy? Is this about that blog post?

Amber: (facepalm) I didn’t even name him! I changed the names. It was just a personal reflection post. How can he prove it was him?

Sophie: Maybe someone figured it out and told him? Did you ever mention he was manipulative or controlling in that post?

Amber: I wrote about being gaslit, yes. And about someone I dated for two years who lied constantly… but I never mentioned his name! Ugh, what does he want from me now?

Sophie: Money, probably. Or to scare you into silence. Typical narcissist move. Have you contacted a lawyer?

Amber: No… I just opened this. I’m in total shock. I never imagined this would happen. I was just trying to process everything that happened.

Sophie: We’ll figure this out, okay? First thing—get legal advice. I know a friend from work whose sister is an attorney. I’ll text her right now.

Amber: (nodding slowly) I just… I can’t believe someone I once loved would try to ruin me like this. I shared my truth. That’s all I did.

Sophie: And you have every right to. Listen, this might get messy, but you’re not alone. We’ll fight this.

Amber: (tears forming) What if I lose? What if this goes public?

Sophie: Then we deal with it. Together. You didn’t do anything wrong by sharing your experience. If he’s trying to weaponize the legal system to silence you, that says more about him than it ever will about you.

[Amber takes a deep breath, looking at the court notice again. Her hands still shake, but there’s a new resolve in her eyes.]

Amber: Okay… let’s find a lawyer. I’m not letting him bully me into silence.

Sophie: That’s my girl. Now let’s get you some tea—and start making a game plan.
